Billu in barber trouble

After Aamir Khan's Ghajini ran into trouble over copyright issues and Akshay Kumar's Chandni Chowk to China reportedly hurt sentiments in Nepal, the latest film to join the ranks of flicks facing flak is Shah Rukh Khan's Billu Barber. Apparently, the Hairdressers' Association of Mumbai is miffed with the usage of the word 'barber' in the title.

The president of their association, Uday Takke has sent out letters to all the members saying, "Barber ki jagah hairdresser hona chahiye. Yeh humarai beizzati hai.

Hum pehle isse dekhenge, phir manzoori denge." Interestingly, almost 500 posters and CDs were distributed as a publicity gimmick to all barbers across Mumbai by SRK's production house.

But the objection came forth, when they refused to put up these posters in their shops. "It's insulting to our profession.

We are as passionate about our profession as any other artist," says Takke. But SRK and director Priyadarshan have already found a solution.

"On February 12, we have a premiere screening for the hairdressers and their wives." says SRK adding, "My films are made because I love people.

I never wish to hurt any sentiments." Priyadarshan, on the other hand, assured that there's nothing demeaning in the film.

"We have shown them in good light. They'll realise that once they see the film.

" On being asked if the title of the movie will be changed, SRK said, "Wherever it is possible, we will remove the word barber from the publicity and #8230; though given the time frame, we can't remove all of it. Anyway what's in a name?".
