Local girl, Rumpa wins the Perfect Bride show

ALLAHABAD: When the entire nation is mesmerised by the charm of reality television, a local girl has made the city proud by becoming the first bride to be selected on television. With the feat of the young lady, the Allahabadis are elated.

Rumpa Roy has emerged as the winner of the Perfect Bride reality show telecasted on a private entertainment channel. The denizens watched the historical marriage much like a fairy tale wedding throughout the reality show.

Rumpa finally paved her way, giving tough fight to her competitors who were from different parts of the country. Rumpa and Priyanka were the finalists in the show. She, however, won the show by tying the knot with Hitesh Chauhan from Chandigarh. Evidently, Rajbeer and Priyanka became the first runner up.

Rumpa Roy was a student of Bishop Johnson School and Girls High School and is a fashion designer by profession. Initially, she lived in Preetam Nagar but her parents had shifted to an apartment in Civil Lines. The residents of Preetam Nagar still remember Rumpa as a tiny tot in her frocks, now the prefect bride.
