Karnataka Governor HR Bhardwaj allowed the filing of criminal cases against Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa by scandals and allegations of corruption in the land on Friday January 21, 2011. Permission was asked by two lawyers based in Bangalore, KN Balaraj Sirajin Basha and 28 December 2011.
The ruling BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) has called for 'bandh' Karnataka (stop) on Saturday January 22, 2011 to protest the governor's decision.
BJP spokesman S. Prakash, told Indo-Asian News Service, "We will arrange Karnataka bandh tomorrow (Saturday)."
