sanctum may want to be an adventure drama, but it actually has to have a viable mix of action and excitement to validate this classification. Director Alister Grierson is certainly achieve that designation, but, unfortunately, happens in one direction and not big on the other. What is the winner? Here's a hint, if Sanctum a silent movie, it would be pretty good.
Deep inside the caves in the South Pacific Esa'ala is a channel of tunnels that have not yet been explored. experienced divers, Frank McGuire (Richard Roxburgh) and his reluctant son, Josh (Rhys Wakefield), are in the midst of a mission to discover the inner passages leading from the cave entrance to the open sea. financial support of the mission, Carl Hurley (Ioan Gruffudd), is an adventurous side, so he decides to take his new bride, Victoria (Alice Parkinson) below to check progress. sanctum is a bit of a roller coaster in terms of quality of work. Let's start with the good. With James Cameron as producer, the filmmakers had access to its coveted 3D photography and the results are impressive. Unlike most 3D movies we have seen, most of which use the method after the conversion, with the Sanctuary, you actually get your money's worth. Everything from the action of the quieter moments are in 3D, thanks to the configuration of the rich and cavernous, the depth is always present. The only drawback is that the sanctuary still do not get the technology over the fence trick. As wild as it is to see Gruffudd's character jumped off a cliff and down into a bottomless pit in 3D, still just a visual spectacle, but that does nothing to improve the story.
